Short version: WPX is most interesting for buyers who want a WordPress-focused managed service with bundled migration help, its own CDN layer, daily backups, security tooling, and live technical support. Buyers who want a different infrastructure model, a very low intro price, or enterprise-specific workflows should compare alternatives.

What WPX currently includes

WPX says its WordPress plans include its custom XDN content delivery network, site migrations, SSL certificates, daily backups, malware scanning and removal, a “Fixed For You” support promise, and 24/7 technical support. Its product catalog also includes WooCommerce-focused plans and higher-capacity agency plans.

WPX currently advertises 43+ XDN points worldwide and three data-center locations. A CDN can reduce the distance static assets travel to visitors, but CDN presence alone is not proof that one host will be fastest for every website.

Migration assistance

WPX's current migration policy says active hosting customers can request a free standard site migration when they have an available site slot and enough disk space. WPX requires a separate migration request for each site. Its knowledge base also states that migration experts aim to transfer a site within 24 hours after migration-request approval.

The policy has important exceptions. Re-migrations caused by changes made during the original migration or DNS propagation can incur a fee, and some non-WordPress platforms or multisite transformations are unsupported. Read the current migration policy if the migration itself is a major reason you are buying.

Backups, security, and operations

WPX currently lists daily backups, malware scanning and free removal, brute-force protection, hybrid DDoS protection, and a web application firewall among its hosting/security capabilities. Its documentation also describes staging, on-demand backups, and account tools for managing sites and usage.
